WHO WE ARE

Arkwood Transportation is the trading name of Tectron Inc., a California corporation operating a private car service in San Gabriel, California and the surrounding San Gabriel Valley. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Tectron Inc. doing business as Arkwood Transportation. You can reach us at contact@arkwoodtransportation.com or (626) 625-2799.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you request a quote or book a ride, we collect what we need to drive you: your name, phone number, email address, pickup and destination addresses, the date and time of your trip, and the number of passengers and bags. For airport trips we usually also collect your airline and flight number, so we can track your flight and adjust to delays. You may also tell us things we haven't asked for — that you're travelling with a car seat, that someone in your party has mobility needs, that a relative should be contacted on arrival. We use that information to provide the ride you asked for and nothing else. We do not collect payment card numbers. Card payments are processed by PayPal, who handle that information under their own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card details.

HOW WE COLLECT IT

Almost all of it comes directly from you, through the quote form on this website, by phone, by text message, or by email. We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit this website, described under Cookies and Analytics below.

WHY WE USE IT

To quote your trip, confirm your booking, and drive you. To contact you about a booking, including if plans need to change. To track flights for airport pickups. To keep the business records we're required to keep for tax purposes. We do not send marketing emails or texts. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and you will be able to opt out.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where the service requires it:

- Squarespace, who host this website and deliver the quote form to us

- PayPal, who process card payments

- Google, whose analytics and advertising tools are described below

- In rare cases, a substitute driver

On that last point: this is an owner-operated service and Chris Lee drives every booking. In an emergency — illness, an accident, a vehicle problem — we may arrange for a trusted substitute driver to complete your trip. If that happens we will tell you in advance, and that driver receives only the details needed to collect you. We may also disclose information if we are legally required to.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, Google Ads to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and Google Tag Manager to manage those tools. Squarespace also sets cookies needed for the site to function. These tools may set cookies in your browser and collect information such as the pages you view, roughly where you are, and whether you arrived from an advertisement. This is used to measure and improve advertising, and it may be used by Google for advertising purposes across other sites. You can control this. Google's ad settings at myadcenter.google.com lets you manage how Google personalizes advertising. The Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page at optout.networkadvertising.org covers a wider set of advertising networks. For analytics specifically, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep booking records for seven years, which is what California bookkeeping and tax requirements call for. Quote requests that don't turn into bookings are kept for a shorter period while we follow up, then deleted.

YOUR CHOICES

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@arkwoodtransportation.com and we will respond within thirty days. We may need to keep some information after a deletion request where the law requires it — completed trips within the seven-year bookkeeping period are the usual case. We will tell you if that applies. California's privacy laws set size thresholds that a business of our scale does not meet, so these rights are offered as a matter of practice rather than because we are compelled to. We honour them either way.

SECURITY

We keep your information only as long as described above, limit who can see it, and use reputable providers for hosting and payments. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise — but we don't hold card details, and we don't share your information with anyone who doesn't need it to complete your ride.

CHILDREN

This website and service are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Children travel with us regularly as passengers, but the booking is always made by an adult and it is the adult's information we collect.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on this page.
