Event Transportation Rates

Event transportation is booked by the hour rather than by trip, because most occasions involve more than one destination and an unpredictable end time. You have the driver and vehicle for the hours you reserve.

The rate is $75 per hour with a three-hour minimum, quoted upfront. It doesn't change with traffic, the time of day, or how late the evening runs.

$75 / hour
Three-hour minimum

One rate, quoted upfront. Multiple stops, waiting through the event, and a late finish are all included in the hours you book.

What That Looks Like
3 Hours · Minimum
$225

A dinner, a birthday celebration, or a graduation ceremony with the return trip included

5 Hours
$375

A concert with pre-show dinner, or a quinceañera with stops between the church and the reception

8 Hours · Full Day
$600

A full day of family gatherings, or an evening that starts early and ends whenever it ends

Your time starts at the scheduled pickup and ends at your final drop-off. Fuel and mileage within the San Gabriel Valley and greater Los Angeles are included — there's no separate per-mile charge on top of the hourly rate. Additional time beyond your booking is $40 per 30 minutes.

No automatic gratuity. Many services add 15 to 20 percent to your bill without asking. Tipping is appreciated but never required, and it's never added for you.

Every booking includes a dedicated driver and vehicle for the hours you reserve. There are no hidden fees, fuel surcharges, or per-stop charges added after the fact.

Events and Occasions We Cover

Most events involve more than a ride there and a ride back. There are pickups at different addresses, a stretch of waiting in the middle, and an end time nobody can predict in advance.

Booking by the hour handles all of that with one arrangement, and the group stays together rather than splitting across separate cars.

Concerts and shows

Venues like the Hollywood Bowl and the Greek Theatre are far easier without a car. No lot to find, no shuttle line afterward, and no one in the group sitting out the evening to stay sober for the drive home.

Birthdays and anniversaries

Dinner somewhere nice, drinks after, then home. Everyone arrives together and leaves together, and the person whose night it is doesn't end up driving.

Quinceañeras and graduations

The days with the most moving parts — church to photos to reception, relatives arriving from out of town, and a schedule that has to hold. One driver covers the whole sequence instead of coordinating three cars.

Funerals and memorial services

Transportation between the service, the cemetery, and the gathering afterward, with the family together in one vehicle. Older relatives are not left to drive or park, and nobody has to navigate unfamiliar routes that day.

What's Included in Every Event Booking

Fixed hourly rate, quoted upfront

$75 per hour with a three-hour minimum. No surge pricing on a Saturday night and no recalculation at the end of the evening

Multiple pickup addresses

Collect the group from two or three houses before the event rather than making everyone meet at one place first

Waiting through the event

Your driver stays for the duration rather than dropping off and leaving. There's no second booking to arrange when it ends

A late finish costs no more

Midnight is the same rate as noon. Additional time beyond your booking is $40 per 30 minutes, with no late-night premium

Door-to-door at every stop

Dropped at the entrance rather than a parking structure four blocks away — which matters in formal wear and matters more for older relatives

Fuel and mileage included

No per-mile charge on top of the hourly rate anywhere in the San Gabriel Valley or greater Los Angeles

Seats up to 7 passengers

A Kia Carnival with sliding doors and a low step-in, so the whole group travels together in one vehicle

The same driver all evening

Owner-operated, so one person handles the whole booking and knows the plan for the day

English & Mandarin service

Booking, directions, and conversation handled comfortably in either language

No automatic gratuity

Tipping is appreciated but never required, and never added to your bill without asking

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does event transportation cost in Los Angeles?

Arkwood charges $75 per hour with a three-hour minimum. A three-hour booking is $225, five hours is $375, and eight hours is $600.

The rate is quoted upfront and fixed. It doesn't change for a Saturday night, a holiday, or a late finish.

Can you pick everyone up from different addresses?

Yes, and it's one of the more useful parts of booking by the hour. Collecting three people from three houses is a normal part of an event booking, not an add-on.

Give us the addresses and the order you'd like them collected in, and we'll build the timing around getting everyone to the venue together.

Does the driver wait during the event?

Yes. Your driver stays for the duration of the booking rather than dropping off and leaving, so there's no second ride to arrange when the evening ends.

This is the difference that matters most at concerts and receptions, where everyone leaves at once and rideshare prices spike exactly when you need one.

What if the event runs later than we planned?

Additional time is billed at $40 per 30 minutes, added to your original quote. There's no late-night premium and no rounding up to a full hour.

Events run long more often than not, so it's worth mentioning when you book if the end time is uncertain. We'd rather plan for it than be surprised by it.

What if our plans change on the day?

Add a stop, change the order, or leave somewhere earlier than expected — you've booked the time and how it's used is up to you.

The one thing worth telling us early is a change to the finish time, since that's the part that affects whether the hours can be extended.

How many passengers can you take?

Up to seven. The vehicle is a Kia Carnival with sliding doors and a low step-in, which is easier in formal wear and easier for older relatives getting in and out.

Larger groups can be handled across two trips within the same booking if the venue is nearby — tell us your headcount and we'll work out whether that fits your timing.

Is there a surcharge for weekends or late nights?

No. The rate is $75 per hour whether it's a Tuesday morning or a Saturday at midnight.

Weekend evenings do book up first, so the practical constraint is availability rather than price.

How far in advance should I book for an event?

As early as you have the date. Reservations are handled first come, first served, and each booking is held for one client — so weekend evenings and graduation season fill up well ahead.

If your event is during a busy period, booking weeks out rather than days out is the difference between having a driver and not.

Can you take us to a venue outside the San Gabriel Valley?

Yes. Hourly rates cover the San Gabriel Valley and greater Los Angeles, which includes most venues people book for.

For events well outside the area, a flat rate for the trip is often better value than paying hourly for the drive. Tell us the venue and we'll quote it whichever way costs less.

Do you add a gratuity to the bill?

No. Many services automatically add 15 to 20 percent to event bookings. We don't add anything to your bill without asking.

Tipping is appreciated but never required, and it isn't built into the quoted rate.
